One of those easiest things to remember when you are going on a diet for diabetes is that it is not  so much different from continuing on a regular diet so as to try and lose weight.  There are some of those differences, basically you will want to stay far away from the foods that you wouldn’t want to touch with a ten-foot pole and that is if you were trying to lose weight.

What can make things even more harder is that, while most of the  nutritionists and doctors out there will always suggest that you do eat plenty of fruits and vegetables as part of your daily diabetic diet, but there are some of the fruits and veggies that you definitely want to stay away from.  Such fruits include:-  grapes, strawberries, prunes, or mangos are to be avoided, as well, vegetables like potatoes, squash, carrots, beets and peas.

On the other side, there are those things that are obvious to stay away from, however these may be harder than others.  While they are not exactly foods, thus alcoholic drinks and smoking cigarettes are two things that you are definitely going to want to avoid as well.  These two products need to stay off your shopping list completely.

As talk of other foods to stay away from, here is anoither list that you will want to abide by as much as possible and these include:

The Oils: Other than Olive oils, oils should be steered clear of
The Peanuts: Very high in fatty oils
The Junk Food: Especially avoid candy's
The Meat: While some meat is good, get rid of the high-fat meats and the red meat.
The Sugar: Like junk food try to avoid foods high in sugar, this like
The Cigarettes and Alcohol: may be hard to give up for some but as time goes on , you can.
The Fried Foods: Sorry to you KFC lovers…but its true
The Fast Food: While some of the fast food have healthy menus that are good and ok, most still contain too much sodium, fat, or sugar to be considered.

As we have seen, these are just a few of those things or foods that you are going to want to stay away from with your new diabetic diet.  Try to SEE a nutritionist or  a qualified doctor for more information regarding your health and start eating healthy to live  longer as soon as possible

4 Tips To Care For Your Skin During Time Of Pregnancy

Posted by Unknown  |

Pregnancy is a very hectic time for most our bodies, as so much is happening and so much is trying change. Your Skin care might be at the bottom of your list of importance, but should it be? , If you want to minimize those stretch marks and avoid the acne, the dry skin or the itchy skin, then you will need to follow a very careful skin-care regimen. But some women are blessed with that ‘pregnancy glow’ which everyone always talks about, however some women are not.

So here is how to make sure you too get that glow!

 1: The Stretch marks
The Stretch marks, for the most of the parts will be unavoidable. Normally the skin over your stomach will be stretched while your baby grows, and stretched skin automatically means stretch marks, but you can minimize them and help them disappear very quickly after giving birth.
There are various creams and oils you can buy out there on the market that promise to reduce stretch marks, however just some simple olive oil will yield the same results. So, try and buy yourself some cream with cocoa butter or vitamin E, rub-in some of the olive oil at night and it should help keep the skin from elastic and reduce those nasty stretch marks.

2: The Acne
Acne vulgaris (or simply acne) is defined by Wikipedia as a common human skin disease, that is characterized by areas of skin with seborrhea (scaly red skin), comedones (blackheads and whiteheads), papules (pinheads), nodules (large papules), pimples, and possibly scarring.

So Many Pregnant women often do suffer from acne, which can be both distressing and embarrassing. Usually, the key problem will resolve after the first trimester, so try and use a simple cleanser with something or example Witch Hazel, avoid harsh exfoliating and do try oats plus honey instead. Cleanse and then use a face wash and moisturize by using a moisturizer with added SPF to reduce the damage from the sun.

3: The Yellow or dark patches
Most women suffer from something that is called Chloasma, this simply means that the skin has patches of more pigment than other parts of the body, which causes dark patches to appear, especially around your eyes. Try to avoid direct sunlight, as this can make it worse. Mostly the chloasma should disappear after your birth, although it may never fully go away in some women.

4: The Dry Skin
If you notice that your skin is dryer than normal and itchy too, moisturize on a daily basis. always make sure to spread it all over your body and try avoiding anything you might be sensitive to. If your skin continues to be itchy or ontinues to gets worse, speak to your doctor since other pregnancy problems can be related to dry skin.

You have noticed that, with a few minutes you spend every day on skin care, there is no reason why you too can not have that pregnancy glow, you  look and feel great with it.
